Our Geographic Community
The "In.Grained Series" by TDC is dedicated to amplifying the voices of communities, particularly those within the company's neighborhood. The 2025 "In.Grained" series features two performances in March 2025, exploring the concept of strength through the artistry of movement and the resilience of the human spirit. These performances aim to challenge traditional notions of strength and destigmatize mental health by celebrating the power of vulnerability and emotional expression.

The festival's primary goal is to uplift emerging choreographers and support Chicago-based dance companies. From captivating performances and master classes to community events, collegiate audition opportunities, and showcases for emerging choreographers, the festival offers a comprehensive experience for participants and audiences alike.

The upcoming Trifecta Dance Festival is scheduled for May 2025 at the Ruth Page Center for the Performing Arts in Chicago.
Our Pre-Professional Youth Dance Community
TDC is dedicated to uplifting and supporting the next generation of community-focused dance artists through its two youth initiatives: Metamorphosis: Fearless Evolution and the Collective Contemporary Awards.
Metamorphosis: Fearless Evolution brings together students from across the nation for a weekend of non-competitive master classes and showcases. This experience fosters unity, collaboration, and inspiration among young artists, encouraging cultural exchange, artistic dialogue, and the sharing of ideas. By emphasizing growth and development over competition, the program cultivates a supportive and inclusive environment where participants can take risks, explore new techniques, and nurture their creativity.
The Collective Contemporary Awards honor excellence in contemporary dance within the youth sector, recognizing young artists and their mentors who push boundaries and showcase innovative approaches to choreography and performance. The Awards ceremony provides a platform for participants to showcase their talents, receive feedback, and be acknowledged for their artistic endeavors.

Expand Company members are offered financial support, mentorship, and resources to empower artists to explore and develop their artistic endeavors. Through focused creative exploration and collaboration, artists delve deeper into their practice, experiment with new techniques, and push creative boundaries.
TDC directors work closely with Expand Company artists to refine their vision, develop skills, and prepare them for the full-length performances they are curating for the TDC season.
